Cultural
activities
The school organises a varied programme of social activities for students
(such as excursions to Grenada, Cordoba, Seville, Jaen, North Africa
etc.), parties, guided tours to the sights of Malaga, such as la Alcazaba,
the Archaeology Museum, Roman Theatre, Museum of Fine Art, Cathedral,
Ayuntamiento, Santiago Church etc.
In Malaga you can wander
from the Muslim fortress of the Alcazaba to the impressive Roman theatre.
The city is also the venue for the internationally acclaimed Museo
Picasso, which was opened as recently as 2003.
Malaga is famous for their festivals and there is a good chance
that you course could coincide with one of the many festivals in the
city or the surrounding area. In February and March it is carnival time.
In summer (15/8) there is the Feria de Málaga in the Andalusian
city.
Optional activities and
Sports
Students can take other courses in addition to their Spanish studies,
such as flamenco, dance, guitar, aerobics, scuba diving, horse riding,
mountain bike, treking at cost price. Please note that while these
courses may be booked through the school, they are arranged by other
companies/organisations.
Golf
You can practice golf after school. There is a golf course quite close
to the school. There are several other golf courses within car distance.
Andalusia has no less than 67 golf courses and 54 golf clubs, and an
infrastructure which allows a total of about 40,000 people to play golf
simultaneously on one and the same day in Andalusia. 70% of the courses
are in the Ma laga and Cadiz provinces, which corresponds to 20% of
the golf courses in the whole of Spain.
Sailing
Malaga is a priviliged city. The sea is one of its main treasures.
Skiing
Malaga is close enough to the Sierra Nevada for skiing in winter.
