Jaen (pop. 110 000)
Jaen is located in northern Andalusia, embedded among rolling hills and plentiful olive groves. The city is, in fact, not only the capital of the province Jaen, but perhaps also the olive oil capital of the entire country. In addition to attracting visitors for its distinct scenery and the yearly festival of bonfires, Jaen offers an interesting insight into the colorful history of the region. The main icon of the Arab grandeur is the magnificent Moorish Castle overlooking the city from the top of Mount Santa Catalina.
